THIS IS WHAT THE CARVED CLAY SPHERE "DANCE OF LIFE" LOOKED LIKE,
BEFORE ITS FIRST FIRING IN THE ELECTRIC KILN.
AND THIS IS HOW IT LOOKS NOW
AFTER THE REDUCTION FIRING IN THE OUTDOOR KILN.
The red color results from using a "wash" or "slip":

The black/brown coloration is not painted on, it is created in the firing process.
(technical details? just ask)
The sphere in natural surroundings.
Finally, after many steps the artist had to take,
THE SPHERE APPEARS IN ITS LAST INCARNATION:
A BRONZE SCULPTURE!
There is only one original ceramic "Dance" sculpture,
but there will be a very small edition of the bronze version.
