INTRIGUING STORIES TOLD IN THREE DIMENSIONS

"BEWARE OF WHAT YOU WISH!"

IN THE BEGINNING ... (don't all good stories start like this?)... there was a wish, an idea:
How about catching a really big fish? Fantastic!
But what if the fish was HUGE, and your boat rather small?
Even more fantastic! - Or maybe not?

The artist has, of course, thought of a solution to this dilemma:

Here's Anton Krajnc working on the clay stage of the girl,
adding her to the wax of the big fish caught in the net,
as she swims down to cut him loose.
In doing so, she saves both the fish
and the (invisible) fisherman in his tiny boat.
The pair of scissors she uses will be made of bronze and goldplated.
In the bag slung over her shoulder she brings a fish of regular size
to replace the one that is too big.

What is so special about these new sculptures?
They are Fine Art, they are beautiful, they tell a story with a universal message,
and yet, they leave much open to individual interpretation,
and - as Krajnc aficionados know: challenge the viewer to discover HIDDEN DETAILS!

"THE BIG BANG"

tells a different story altogether:
of imagination, creation, secrets and discovery.
This bronze is a very complex sculpture,
a burst open sphere with mysterious writings on its smooth surface,
revealing a core of condensed interrelating images.

The pieces are held together loosely by a rope
ending in the letters alpha and omega.
This is all I'm going to tell you about it.

The 'picture rock' makes its second appearance in a sculpture by Krajnc,
linking this work to an earlier one, titled FINISTERRA.
